Celebrating Fourth of July New Braunfels Style
Fireworks, friends, and fun is what makes celebrating July 4 a memorable and exciting time, so it's no surprise then that so many people head to New Braunfels to celebrate!
Every year, the City of New Braunfels and the Sophienburg Museum host an Old Time 4th of July Patriotic Parade and Program in downtown New Braunfels.
This year, the parade will begin at 9:15am downtown at the Main Plaza. Everyone is welcome to be a part of the parade, just visit www.sophienburg.com for instructions on where to get your application.
The entire family is welcome to come line the streets to watch as the annual parade marches through the city.
The Comal Community Band will begin playing at around 8:45am at the Bandstand on the Plaza. A Patriotic Program will be held immediately following the parade at the Bandstand.
This can’t-miss show will have the presentation of the Colors, welcome, invocation, special music and more.
Afterward, spend the afternoon enjoying time with family and friends, maybe go for a dip in the gentle Comal River or visit the sprawling Landa Park.
However you spend your day, make sure you are in Fischer Park before dark.
Live music will begin at the dance slab around 6:30pm and fireworks will be shot from Landa Lake in Landa Park beginning at 9:15pm.
One of the largest Independence Day celebrations in the Hill Country, you will not be disappointed! Pick out your spot, set up your picnic, and be prepared to ‘ooh’ and ‘ah’!
Mark your calendars now to be in New Braunfels this July 4th. Stay with us and don’t miss any of the action!
